Olympic bronze medallist figure skater Michelle Kwan is the newest Disney spokeswoman, signing a three-year deal with the company.

President of Walt Disney Studios Marketing, Michael Mendenhall, says: "Michelle has a huge worldwide appeal and is a role model for children and adults."

21-year-old Kwan will make public service announcements, appear at awards events and appear in marketing campaigns for Disney company properties including theme parks, restaurants, the Disney cruise line and motion pictures.

Kwan and Disney are not strangers, however -- she has already starred in television specials on ABC-TV, a Disney property, and has contributed to Disney-published skating books.
