CUT! TNT is cutting loose Witchblade. In a surprise move, the network has axed its signature drama series after two seasons. Variety speculates that the decision may have been partly based on the personal problems of series star Yancy Butler, whose recent stint in alcohol rehab forced the show to briefly cease production. |
BUFFY WEDS Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar exchanged vows with her Scooby-Doo leading man Freddie Prinze Jr. during a top-secret ceremony on Sunday in Mexico. Gellar wore a Vera Wang gown and Prinze donned a custom-made linen suit. The couple announced their engagement in April 2001. US Weekly, meanwhile reports that on the day of the nuptials Gellar was hospitalized with dehydration brought on by — eww! — "Montezuma's revenge." |
OPRAH'S SAFE Don't hold your breath for The Bill Clinton Show. Despite reports, the former President told Larry King that he has no immediate plans to enter the talk show fray. "Maybe sometime later in my life I'd like to do it," he said on Tuesday's Larry King Live. "It would be intriguing to me because I like to talk to people... [But] you have to be here every day, and ... a lot of the work I do requires me to travel. I really believe I should always spend more than half my time on public service, so I just don't see how I can do it." Clinton reportedly had been in discussions with both CBS and NBC about a show. |
